Opening a company in Indonesia (PT/PT PMA)

To do business in Indonesia, you need to register a company. Indonesia has two types of PT companies: PT PMDN (PT local, a domestic company) and PT PMA (a foreign-owned company).

Opening a PT PMA company (a company with foreign capital investment)

A PT PMA company is set up by at least two foreign legal entities or individuals, with 100% share ownership and mandatory foreign capital investment

Several similar business activities can be included in the company's scope (we recommend no more than 4)

The company can be registered at a virtual office if you don't have a physical one yet (we provide virtual office rental for one year)

After the company is set up, you can apply for an investor KITAS for 2 years and a family KITAS for 1 year for your family members, open a bank account and run your business completely legally

The authorized capital of a PT PMA must be at least 10 billion Indonesian rupiah (about $700,000). Founders can contribute the authorized capital right after opening a bank account under the appropriate item, or contribute it gradually during the life of the company and allocate it to various needs, that is, invest it
